Returned nearly 5 billion and 225 taels of gold to the owner of a gold shop that was robbed in 6 years
Regarding the case of a young man stealing dozens of kilograms of gold, on March 30, Quang Nam Provincial Police said they had returned nearly 5 billion VND and 225 taels of gold to the owner of the stolen gold shop.
On March 30, the Criminal Police Department of Quang Nam Province Police said that the unit had returned VND4,975 billion in cash and 225 taels of gold to the owner of KHP gold shop (Hoi An City, Quang Nam).

Subject Tuan brought more than 230 taels of gold to sell, Tuan handed over the remaining 225 taels of gold to the police after being arrested.
As reported, on January 15, Tuan and his brother brought more than 230 taels of gold to a gold shop to sell, including rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets worth nearly 5 billion VND, when they were discovered by the police.
At the police station, Tuan initially claimed that the nearly 15 kg of gold was left by his father, then he claimed that he had found it. Finally, Tuan confessed that he had stolen gold from KHP Gold Shop (Hoi An City, Quang Nam) for 6 years (from 2012-2018) while working there.
The suspect Tuan then continued to hand over to the police more than 220 taels of gold hidden at home. Currently, Tuan has been prosecuted and temporarily detained for further investigation.
