Village boy hides heroin in underwear and takes it to the street

(Baonghean.vn) - Hired by someone to deliver heroin from Que Phong to Vinh to a customer, Tai hid the drugs in his underwear and brought them to Vinh but was discovered and arrested by the police.

On the afternoon of December 8, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial to try the case of "Illegal transportation of narcotics" against Lo Van Tai (born in 1995, residing in Dong Van commune, Que Phong) and Lang Van Tuan (born in 1994, residing in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong).

According to the indictment, on the afternoon of May 29, 2017, Tuan was hired by a man to transport 2 heroin plants (weighing 68 grams) from Que Phong to Vinh City to deliver to a customer. This man paid Tuan 5 million VND. Tuan accepted the job but hired Tai to directly transport the drugs to Vinh for 3 million VND.

After receiving the heroin, Tai carefully wrapped it in two layers of plastic bags and hid it in his underwear. When Tai brought the drugs to the meeting point to deliver them, he was discovered and caught red-handed by the Vinh City Police task force.

Nearly 3 months later, Lang Van Tuan also turned himself in to the Vinh City Police Department, confessing all his crimes.

At the trial, Lo Van Tai and Lang Van Tuan admitted their crimes. Distinguishing the roles of each defendant in the case, the panel sentenced Lang Van Tuan to 16 years in prison and Lo Van Tai to 15 years in prison.
