Young man sells his mistress to foreign land
(Baonghean.vn) - The victim, although married, still had an affair with Cut Van Xuc. Out of money, Xuc colluded with others to sell his mistress to China.
On November 23, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of two defendants, Cut Van Xuc (born 1991) and Lu Van Dung (born 1983), both residing in Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, for the crime of "Human trafficking".
The victim in the case was Ms. Lu Thi Th. (born in 1987), residing in Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district. Ms. Th., although married, still developed feelings for Cut Van Xuc.
According to the indictment, in mid-2014, after Lu Van Dung discussed finding someone to take Lu Thi Niem (born 1985, residing in Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district) to China to sell for a fee, Xuc immediately looked for a "connection".

At this time, because he was living with Ms. Th., when he heard his lover confide "I want to go to work to earn money", Xuc immediately had the idea of introducing his lover to Dung to take to China to sell.
Xuc then brought his lover to meet Dung. At this meeting, Dung asked Th. many times, “Do you really want to go to China?”. Th. affirmed that she wanted to go.
Then, Dung took Th. to meet Lu Thi Niem. This woman then took Th. to China through illegal means.
In a foreign country, Ms. Th. was sold to a man in Hunan province to be his wife for 780,000 Yuan (equivalent to 234 million VND).
Niem gave 30 million VND to Dung. Then, Dung gave the above amount to Xuc to send to Th's family. However, Xuc did not give it to his lover's family but gave Dung 2 million, and spent the rest.
Two months later, when the incident was exposed, fearing a lawsuit, Dung and Niem's relatives gave Th.'s family 50 million VND.
At the end of 2020, Ms. Th. returned to Vietnam and filed a report to the police. Based on the victim's report, the investigation agency arrested Xuc and Dung. As for Lu Thi Niem, she is currently not in the area, so the authorities have initiated a case and issued a wanted notice.
At the trial, the two defendants admitted to the crimes as charged in the indictment. Xuc confessed that he sold his girlfriend to a foreign country for money. After receiving 30 million VND, Xuc confessed that he was “blinded by the money so he spent it all” without giving it to Th’s family.
After considering the role of each defendant in the case, the panel sentenced defendant Cut Van Xuc to 7 years in prison, Lu Van Dung to 4 years in prison; and forced Xuc to compensate the victim 60 million VND.
