Deputy Head of Forest Protection Station received bribes to destroy 15 hectares of forest
Mr. Dinh Gia Tuan received bribes from forest destroyers to "give the green light" to destroy and devastate more than 15 hectares of forest.
On April 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Nong Province Police temporarily detained Mr. Dinh Gia Tuan, 34 years old, Deputy Head of Forest Protection Management Station No. 2, Quang Son Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. (Quang Son Commune, Dak G'Long District, Dak Nong Province) to investigate the destruction of 15 hectares of forest.

According to initial information, Mr. Dinh Gia Tuan received bribes from forest destroyers to "give the green light" for the destruction and devastation of more than 15 hectares of forest in Sub-area 1680, belonging to the forest area managed by Quang Son Forestry Company. The incident took place in late 2017 and early 2018.
More notably, Mr. Dinh Gia Tuan is a relative of Mr. Dinh Van Quy - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quang Son Forestry Company.
Mr. Tuan was appointed as Deputy Head of Forest Protection Management Station No. 2 at the end of 2017. Forest Protection Management Station No. 2 of Quang Son Forestry Company is the unit directly managing the area of about 15 hectares of forest that was destroyed and encroached upon as mentioned above.
