Students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students won the laurel wreath after a 15-year wait, bringing home a meaningful victory on the occasion of the school's 40th anniversary.
Tran Bui Bao Khanh, a student from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, has officially become the champion of the 25th season of the "Road to Olympia" competition. In the final round held on the morning of October 26th, Bao Khanh scored 215 points, bringing home the prestigious laurel wreath after a 15-year wait for his school.
A spectacular "Finishing Line" performance sealed the championship title.
Tran Bui Bao Khanh's victory was decided by the dramatic "Finishing Line" round. She answered all 20-30-20 point questions correctly, thus breaking away and securing the top position. Bao Khanh's performance has been consistently strong throughout the 2025 Olympia competition, as she continuously finished first in the Weekly (250 points), Monthly (295 points), and Quarterly (270 points) rounds.
This achievement is not only a source of personal pride but also a particularly meaningful gift for the entire faculty and students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, coinciding with the school's 40th anniversary.

At the Hanoi venue located at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, teachers and students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students created a vibrant atmosphere with a special parade titled "The Procession of the Laurel Wreath to Hanoi with Mountaineer Tran Bui Bao Khanh".
The event was attended by teachers and students, featuring many artistic performances and a vibrant parade. The atmosphere at the venue erupted with emotion when Tran Bui Bao Khanh was announced as the winner.
Overwhelming pride after 15 years
Sharing her joy, Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, could not hide her emotion: "Not just me, but I think that 3,000 students, 6,000 parents, and all former students of Ams High School nationwide who are watching this program are extremely proud. Bao Khanh has shown that the Ams spirit and Ams character are always present everywhere."
Ms. Duong said the school would organize a special event to celebrate Bao Khanh's victory, while also commemorating the school's 40th anniversary. "We hope that this achievement will help spread the message of learning to every student in the school," she said.
Not only the teachers, but also the parents experienced moments of both excitement and pride. Mr. Phung Xuan Binh, Head of the Parents' Association of the 11th-grade specialized Math class 2, shared: "My child standing on the stage so confidently, calmly, and shining in their own way truly moved and delighted me."
A pleasant surprise that the school prepared for Bao Khanh was the appearance of three teachers who had taught him in preschool, elementary, and middle school, those who had accompanied and nurtured his passion for knowledge from the very beginning.
