On the morning of August 16, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired a meeting regarding the organization of home matches of the Vietnam National Team inWorld Cup 2022 final qualifiers. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Public Security, Health, Vietnam Football Federation (VFF)... and related units in coordinating the organization of the matches.

The most important issue that fans are concerned about right now is whether tickets will be sold for the match between Vietnam and Australia on September 7. Previously, the VFF sent a proposal to the authorities to welcome less than 30% of the audience to the stadium if the COVID-19 situation is well controlled.

However, this request was not approved by the authorities. Specifically, due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the authorities agreed to organize the Vietnam - Australia match on September 7 at My Dinh Stadium without spectators.

The Vietnamese team, the Australian team, and FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) officials who come to Vietnam to work at the match will not be quarantined according to normal regulations. The entire process of travel, accommodation, training and competition of these members will take place in a closed "bubble" process.

VFF plans to hold 5 matches at My Dinh Stadium all at 7 p.m.

The authorities requested VFF to report in detail the match organization plan. At the same time, make a detailed list of the number of members and individuals who will enter Vietnam to prepare for the match.
