The legendary Real vs Barca match was held in September

The El Clasico match between Real legends and famous former Barca players will be held in India on September 15.

Fernando Morientes has recently announced that he will be part of the Real Madrid legends squad that will play in the El Clasico against former Barca stars. The match was also confirmed by the founder of the "Football Next Foundation" Kaushik Moulik, who is also the organizer of the match between the legends of the two famous clubs in Spain.

“I would like to thank the Indian football fans for their support. I can’t wait to meet you,” said former Real striker Fernando Morientes.

Fernando Morientes is one of the strikers who had a successful career. He started his career with Albacete club. In 1997, the former Spanish striker joined Real Madrid, played 182 matches and scored 82 goals in La Liga.

After that, he also played for AS Monaco, Liverpool, Valencia, Marseille. In 2015, Morientes retired with the Spanish team Santa Ana. He won many prestigious championships, notably 3 times winning the Champions League with Real Madrid in the 1997/98, 1999/2000, 2001/02 seasons.

Morientes' former teammate Michel Salgado has also confirmed his participation in the Clasico between the legends. He shared: "Michel Salgado would like to send greetings to the Indian fans. We will play against the former Barca stars on September 15. See you."

Several other former players such as Koke Contreras, Victor Sanchez del Amo, Ivan Perez may also participate in this match. The organizers announced that the list of legends of the two clubs will be announced soon. The stadium for this match has not been confirmed yet.

In a recent match to raise funds for charity in Africa, the Real Madrid legends won 4-0 against former AS Roma stars.
