Tran Thanh continuously causes controversy when hosting "Rap Viet".

On his personal page, Tran Thanh has just officially spoken out about the noise surrounding hosting Rap Viet..The male MC said that normally he would not choose to speak up but would quietly work better after criticism, but in the last 2 episodes, too many viewers reacted harshly because of misunderstandings, so he was forced to speak up.

He wrote:"First of all, I'm not biased towards anyone. I can't even remember all the contestants' names. They were all skinny and sunken, all the same. I couldn't recognize them all. When filming, the judges sat opposite the speakers. I sat in the corner, facing the speakers, so honestly, I couldn't hear clearly what they were rapping.

After each performance, before commenting, I have to ask the editor to give me the lyrics of the songs that the contestants have composed so that I can understand what they wrote and then present them. Whoever writes well, I quote a few lines and read them out to analyze for the audience to see how well they write the lyrics. It is completely random and unbiased. As for how they edit at home, that is the editor's business. So sometimes you think I am biased, reading this person's lyrics, praising this person and not praising that person. That is absolutely not the case! I love all the contestants equally. Because I don't remember who you all are!

Tran Thanh affirmed that he is not biased and does not want to override his MC authority.

He continued:"Most rap artists are introverted and have a lot of personality. They are not used to talking too much and expressing their emotions in public, so they are reserved. I have to do everything I can to turn it into a story that inspires them to talk. If I cut out all the MC's speaking parts and only edited the comments of the coaches, I'm sure the broadcast time will only be half an episode.

When recording, I have to say as much information as possible, so that there is something for the program they are editing. The less people talk, the more I have to say, that is the responsibility of an MC. As for editing, how much of my words they take is the right of the program production, I have no right to interfere or edit. Editing too much is said to be arguing, taking over the judges' right to comment. But doing the right job of an MC is to only invite the judges to speak and not have any opinion about them, how can there be enough material to edit? So you are me, please show me how to do it right!", Tran Thanh said about being criticized for overshadowing the judges.

Rap Viet has gone halfway through two rounds of Conquest and Head-to-Head but the story about the MC is still controversial.

Tran Thanh's excessive crying on the show also made many people feel fed up. The male MC burst into tears 3 times after the contestants' performances, making viewers confused and thinking that he was overdoing it.

In some family-themed performances, the audience could somewhat sympathize with MC Tran Thanh’s tears at the emotional lyrics. However, there were fast-paced and exciting performances, such as the recent performance by Ricky Star and R.Tee from Binz’s team, which also made MC Tran Thanh cry.

Sharing about this, Tran Thanh said he agreed because he is a sensitive and emotional person:"I can't control my emotions after watching a great performance, so I often cry right after. I'm bad, I admit it. But that's me. Tran Thanh is like that, from the very beginning of his career. Not just with this show, or recently I've been like that. And I plan to be like that for the rest of my life! Because I can't do anything else."

The male MC shed tears many times, making the audience bored.

The male MC explained: "Many people say I act. So think about it, who has the time to act for 15 years in this profession? Maybe the showSon Tinh and Thuy TinhHow did the editing make you feel that my tears were flowing out was unreasonable? I watched it again, and I also found it unreasonable. But maybe because they didn't have enough time, they had to cut the process short, so seeing me cry right there was unreasonable. As for what happened on the scene, surely with the sublimation and scale of the performance that day, I was not the only one crying in the studio. It's just that you didn't get to see it on air!

I choose to speak out today because I feel really unfair and unjust with the wrong reception about me like this. I have tried my best to do the best I can only to receive cold water like:Tran Thanh's behavior in this episode erased everything he did in the previous 8 episodes.. Can we hate someone so easily and quickly?

Tran Thanh said this will be the last time he shares about his crying on television. He also added: "What I have done forVietnamese Rapt, my conscience knows, the show's production team knows, the rapper brothers from the contestants to the coaches and judges of the show know. That's enough! I have nothing to be ashamed of!".
