Following this information, MC Tran Thanh reacted strongly on his personal page. He asserted that the messages were fabricated and untrue, intended to tarnish his reputation.
"I am truly furious after reading messages from someone who is spreading fake messages to tarnish my reputation. How I live my life is something my conscience will answer for. And I believe my audience also understands what kind of person Tran Thanh is," Tran Thanh said angrily.

Tran Thanh continued to express his stance on being falsely accused. He affirmed that he would track down the identity of the person who sent the images and messages.
Tran Thanh wrote: "This society still has laws. At all costs, I will report this to the police and have my lawyer go to your house to meet you. And I guarantee it. You will pay a very heavy price. You can't just slander someone's reputation without any evidence. I want people like this to be severely punished by the law. I promise you I will do it."
Just 10 hours after being posted, the article received over 200,000 interactions, more than 11,000 comments, and thousands of shares.
Realizing the situation was escalating, the social media account LTMH posted a clarification regarding the messages and images she had shared. According to her, the messages were just playful banter between her and her younger sister. Furthermore, the image allegedly of actor Anh Đức was taken from social media and reposted. However, she did not expect the image to be widely circulated online, causing such a stir. Currently, she has locked her personal account.

Clause 3, Article 16 of the 2018 Cybersecurity Law stipulates the prevention and handling of information on cyberspace that contains defamatory or slanderous content, including: a) Seriously offending the honor, reputation, and dignity of others; b) Fabricated or false information that infringes upon the honor, reputation, and dignity or causes damage to the legitimate rights and interests of other agencies, organizations, or individuals.
Clause c, Point 2, Article 12 of the 2006 Law on Information Technology prohibits distortion, slander, and defamation of the reputation of organizations, and the honor, dignity, and reputation of citizens. Those who suffer damage have the right to claim compensation for damages caused by the infringement of their honor, dignity, and reputation according to Article 592 of the 2015 Civil Code.
Based on Point a, Clause 1, Article 101 of Government Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020, regulating administrative penalties in the fields of postal services, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology, and electronic transactions, effective from April 15, 2020: A fine of VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed for the act of using social networks to provide or share false information, untrue information, distorted information, slander, defamation, or insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, or the honor and dignity of individuals. In addition, the offender shall be required to remove false or misleading information or information that violates the law resulting from the violation as stipulated in Clause 3 of this Article.
In addition, depending on the nature and severity of the violation, if it meets the elements of a crime, it will be prosecuted under one or more different offenses as stipulated in the Penal Code.
Specifically: If the act seriously offends the dignity and honor of another person, it may constitute the crime of humiliating another person as stipulated in Article 155 of the 2015 Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of up to 5 years imprisonment; or anyone who fabricates or spreads information that they know to be false in order to seriously offend the dignity and honor or cause damage to the legitimate rights and interests of another person may be prosecuted for the crime of defamation as stipulated in Article 156 of the 2015 Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of 7 years imprisonment.
