Concerned with people's aspirations with 'global thinking, local propaganda'

At the conference, delegates listened to a report on Building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern Vietnam People's Army to firmly protect the Fatherland in the new situation presented by a representative of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Next, General Secretary of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Viet Thong quickly announced the results of the 11th Conference of the 12th Central Executive Committee with many important contents. In particular, he emphasized that the Party Central Executive Committee called on the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to strengthen solidarity and unity, promote the results achieved in the past time, continue to make efforts to overcome difficulties, resolutely and persistently fight to firmly protect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; maintain a peaceful and stable environment, successfully complete the goals and tasks set for the 2019-2020 period as well as the entire term of the 12th Party Congress; successfully organize party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Le Manh Hung affirmed that in implementing the campaigns, movements and socio-economic development goals of the country, propaganda work is of great significance. Reality shows that, in recent times, the team of reporters and propagandists has done their job well to contribute to consolidating and developing the great national unity bloc; maintaining political security and social order and safety.

However, there are still issues of incomplete propaganda and lack of synchronous dissemination to all classes of people. Specifically, although the official propaganda channels have recently reflected timely, complete and comprehensive information related to the situation in the East Sea, the level of dissemination has not been deep and wide to all party members and classes of people. This shows that the effectiveness of oral propaganda is still not high.

To overcome this situation, in the coming time, the team of reporters and propagandists need to base on the aspirations and thoughts of the people to clearly identify the focus and key points of propaganda, in line with the motto "global thinking, local propaganda". From there, promptly orient so that people can clearly and correctly understand the outstanding issues that reality is posing. Only then can we create a synchronous change in awareness and promote social cohesion.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in the coming time, comrade Le Manh Hung requested the team of reporters to propagate orientedly on 10 key contents. In which, focusing on Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation; propagating important contents of the results of the 11th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee and the 8th session of the 14th National Assembly.

In addition, it is necessary to promptly inform about the achievements after 10 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction; the situation in the East Sea and the event that Vietnam was elected for the second time as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
