(Baonghean.vn) - From India, the Asian Records Organization has just confirmed that the TH Group's farm (owner of the TH True MILK brand) in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province, has achieved the title of "Largest high-tech concentrated dairy farm in Asia".

This is not only good news for TH Group and the TH true MILK brand, but also marks an important success for Nghe An province and the Vietnamese agricultural sector.

The award also recognizes TH true MILK's contribution in laying the foundation for the clean fresh milk processing industry, creating a revolution in the Vietnamese milk market; especially changing habits: from consuming powdered milk reconstituted into liquid milk (also known as sterilized milk) to using fresh milk.

TH's "Intensive, Industrial-Scale Dairy Farming and Fresh Milk Processing" project was launched in October 2009 on an area of ​​37,000 hectares with a total investment of 1.2 billion USD. Currently, the project has reached a total herd of 45,000 cows with an average milk yield of 40 liters/cow/day.

In addition, TH owns the TH Fresh Milk Processing Plant with a designed capacity of over 500 million liters of milk per year in Nghia Binh commune, Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province. This is the largest and most modern fresh milk processing plant in Asia in terms of both scale and technology.

The key to this project's success lies in the world's most advanced livestock farming technology, imported from Israel, New Zealand, and Australia.

When raising cattle in Nghe An, weather-related challenges are overcome by creating microclimates. At the TH farm, the cows live in sheds with three layers of insulated corrugated iron roofing, equipped with fans, misting systems, and soothing classical music playing throughout the day.

Cattle feed such as corn, sorghum, sunflower seeds, and American grass are grown on hundreds of hectares of raw material fields. There, large-scale tillage, sowing, and harvesting machines are in operation, with a productivity equivalent to 800 manual laborers. For the first time, Vietnamese farmlands feature irrigation systems with arms 500-700 meters long.

The cows' diet changes daily; there are separate diets for milking cows, sick cows, and calves. The cows' drinking water is filtered through an Israeli system, so clean that it is safe for humans to drink directly.

Each cow is fitted with a chip on its leg – considered a kind of "eye" monitoring its health and controlling its breeding period… In particular, sick cows (most commonly with dairy cows, mastitis) will be detected and automatically removed from the milking pen, preventing pus from mixing with the milk. This is the most important factor determining the quality and safety of the milk product.

There's an interesting story about the strict adherence to technological processes at the TH farm: When the project started, TH brought in Israeli farmers to transfer technology and work discipline to Vietnamese farmers at the farm.

In addition to the award from the Asian Record Organization, Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of TH Group - was recently selected by Forbes magazine as one of the 50 most powerful female entrepreneurs in Asia in 2015, recognizing her contributions to the Vietnamese dairy industry. In Vietnam, TH is also the only dairy farming and fresh milk processing enterprise to be certified as a "High-Tech Agricultural Enterprise" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
