TH true MILK farm reaches the largest scale in Asia

(Baonghean.vn) - From India, the Asian Record Organization has just confirmed: The farm of TH Group (owner of the TH True MILK brand) in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An has achieved the title of "The largest concentrated dairy farm applying high technology in Asia".

This is not only good news for TH Group and TH true MILK brand, but also marks an important success for Nghe An province and Vietnam's agricultural sector.

The award also recognized TH true MILK's contribution in laying the foundation for the clean fresh milk processing industry, creating a revolution in the Vietnamese milk market; especially changing habits: From consuming powdered milk reconstituted into liquid milk (also known as sterilized milk) to using fresh milk.

TH’s “Dairy farming and fresh milk processing on a concentrated, industrial scale” project was implemented in October 2009 on an area of ​​37,000 hectares with a total investment of 1.2 billion USD. Currently, the project has a total herd of 45,000 cows with an average milk yield of 40 liters/cow/day.

In addition, TH owns the TH Fresh Milk Processing Factory with a designed capacity of over 500 million liters of milk per year in Nghia Binh Commune, Nghia Dan District, Nghe An Province. This is the most modern and largest fresh milk processing factory in Asia in terms of both scale and technology.

The golden key to the success of this project is the most modern livestock technology in the world imported from Israel, New Zealand, and Australia.

When raising cows in Nghe An, the difficult weather conditions are controlled by creating microclimates. At TH farm, cows live in 3-layer cold-rolled corrugated iron roofed houses with fans, misting and classical music playing all day long.

Cow feed such as corn, sorghum, sunflower seeds, and American grass seeds are grown on hundreds of hectares of raw material fields. There are large-scale tillage, seeding, and harvesting machines with the productivity of 800 manual workers. For the first time, Vietnamese fields have appeared with 500-700m long irrigation arms.

The cows’ menu changes daily; there are separate regimens for milking cows, convalescent cows, and calves. The cows’ drinking water is filtered through an Israeli system, so clean that people can drink it directly.

Each cow has a chip attached to its leg - considered as a "magic eye" to monitor its health, control the mating period... In particular, sick cows (most common with dairy cows is mastitis) will be detected and automatically removed from the milking pen, avoiding the phenomenon of pus mixed with milk. This is the most important factor, determining the quality and safety of dairy products.

There is an interesting story about the strict adherence to technological processes at TH farm: When starting the project, TH brought Israeli farmers to transfer techniques and work discipline to Vietnamese farmers at the farm.

In addition to the award from the Asian Record Organization, Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of TH Group has just been voted by Forbes Magazine into the list of 50 most powerful businesswomen in Asia in 2015 to recognize her contributions to the Vietnamese dairy industry. In Vietnam, TH is also the only cow breeding and fresh milk processing enterprise to be certified as a "High-tech agricultural enterprise" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
