Controversy over Indian movie, more than 100 crazy fans hospitalized

Kiranmala, a fantasy film about a female warrior saving humanity from evil, is attracting a lot of audiences in Bangladesh.

Local police chief Yasinul Haque said: "Initially, there were only two people arguing about the episode being shown. Then the argument turned into a fight. Hundreds of people used knives and sticks to fight each other."

Sources confirmed that at least 100 people were injured, while local police said at least 15 people were seriously injured.
According to Mr. Haque, the fight started on the night of August 17 and continued until the morning of August 18.

Although produced in India, Kiranmala was more popular in Bangladesh and made many audiences here crazy.
Last year, local media reported that two young girls in Bangladesh committed suicide after their parents refused to buy them the dress worn by the female warrior in the film.
