The incident occurred at 6:00 p.m. on May 13 in the area near Phu My District Medical Center, Binh Dinh Province. While transporting a patient to a higher level in Quy Nhon City with the driver, Mr. Vo Truong Nhu Vuong, 35 years old, an employee of Phu My District Medical Center, was blocked in front of the car by Huynh Phat Tai, who stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
Seeing Mr. Vuong being stabbed, Mr. Bui Ngoc Binh, also living in Phu My district, came to intervene and was also beaten and injured by Tai. Currently, both victims are being treated at Binh Dinh General Hospital.
It is known that the cause of the incident was a conflict in the fight to transport emergency patients to higher levels. Mr. Vo Truong Nhu Vuong is an employee of Phu My District Medical Center, who has a car providing this service. Huynh Phat Tai is the son of Mr. Huynh Kim Tao, an officer of this Medical Center, who also has a car providing patient transport services at Phu My District Medical Center.
"Our investigation agency has accessed the information and verified it since yesterday afternoon and is investigating to clarify. But currently this subject (Huynh Phat Tai) is not present in the locality and Mr. Vuong is being treated at Quy Nhon hospital.
From our perspective of social order, those who cause injury to others will be handled according to regulations. Internally, I think we will make recommendations to the health sector to strengthen state management because these two people are both officers of the health center," said Colonel Le Thanh Ha, Chief of Phu My District Police, Binh Dinh Province./.
