Avoid the situation of 'going first and leaving later' in building model new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - At the meeting with voters before the 4th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, voters of Nghi Lien commune proposed many practical contents related to people's lives.

At the meeting with voters, there were 17 opinions and recommendations on many issues: Proposing to soon have a plan to build a residential road east of the railway from Quan Hanh Town to Nghi Kim Commune to limit traffic accidents and facilitate people's travel after building a railway overpass and at the same time to develop the economy in the area east of the railway; The delay in implementing the planning items to expand Vinh Airport affects the land use rights of the people; Determining the land price to support compensation for agricultural land when the state reclaims land to implement projects with the price of one-time compensation and two-time support according to Decision 05 of 2015 is too low.

At the meeting, many opinions expressed some indignant issues such as: the implementation of compensation for land clearance of National Highway 1 phase 2 lacked transparency, the compensation price lacked consistency and reasonableness between adjacent plots of land. The compensation plan for cracked houses of people in hamlet 18B had a compensation plan but people have not yet received payment. Currently, in Nghi Lien commune, there are still 2 hamlets lacking clean water (hamlet 4, hamlet 18a), some hamlets have degraded and weak electricity systems. The progress of granting land use right certificates is too slow and the situation of consultants "asking for money" to make the cover quickly.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council, after reporting on some socio-economic developments of the province, delegate Nguyen Van Lu frankly discussed, explained and accepted the opinions of voters. Regarding issues under the authority of the city and commune, delegate Nguyen Van Lu requested specialized agencies at the city and commune levels to check the issues raised by voters and resolve them according to their authority.

Delegate Nguyen Van Lu affirmed that Nghi Lien is a commune oriented to build a model New Rural Area but clearly there are pressing issues. Therefore, the issues raised by voters will be received and commented on at the meetings of the People's Councils at the provincial and district levels, to avoid the situation of Nghi Lien "going first and leaving later" in building the New Rural Area.

In the development process, Nghi Lien needs to clearly identify itself as a buffer zone, so it must make efforts to build infrastructure to meet development requirements. Along with that, the Party Committee, Government and people of Nghi Lien must promote the spirit of self-awareness, constructive awareness, and create high consensus so that the implementation of major policies of the province and the city can be carried out smoothly.
