This is the amount of money raised at the exchange program "Nghe An Youth with the Homeland's Sea and Islands" jointly organized by the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Youth Union, and Nghe An Radio and Television Station.
At the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Department, representatives from the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Military Command presented 260 million VND to the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force. On behalf of the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force, Mr. Phung Quang Khai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Department, expressed deep gratitude for the affection and concern shown by the youth and people of Nghe An province towards the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force. Nearly two months have passed since China illegally deployed the Haiyang 981 oil rig in waters under Vietnam's sovereignty, and the Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force and Coast Guard have steadfastly remained at the forefront to carry out their law enforcement duties.
However, China not only failed to withdraw the oil rig from waters under Vietnam's sovereignty, but also engaged in dangerous actions. Specifically, Chinese ships rammed and damaged 27 Vietnamese fisheries patrol vessels, with some vessels being rammed as many as 11 times. Eighteen fisheries patrol officers were injured. Despite this, Vietnamese law enforcement forces remained resolute in their efforts to fight and demand that China immediately cease its wrongful actions.
