Donated 50 million VND to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to build gratitude houses
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 17, Nhon Trach 2 Oil and Gas Power Joint Stock Company and the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province went to Yen Thanh district to present 50 million VND to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Mai Thi Thoi (93 years old) in Trung Hau hamlet, Nhan Thanh commune.
Mai Thi Thoi’s mother’s husband was a martyr fighting against the French and her son, Hoang Sy Au, died on the Cambodian battlefield. The family’s circumstances are very difficult, and she currently lives in a dilapidated level 4 house.

In order to help mothers have a stable place to worship their husbands and children, Nhon Trach 2 Oil and Gas Power Joint Stock Company has recently launched a campaign to raise funds to support the construction of houses for families with difficult housing conditions, to show affection and gratitude to generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood to protect the country.
The total value of the house is 150 million VND. In addition to the 50 million VND supported by Nhon Trach 2 Power Joint Stock Company, the remaining amount is from the family and local authorities at all levels, and people contributing to help support working days.
The house is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of July, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
