Awarded 60 million VND to support the construction of charity houses in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 21, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs coordinated with the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and Thanh Chuong district, along with representatives of sponsors, to organize a donation ceremony to support the construction of houses of gratitude for relatives of martyrs in the district.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs; Nguyen Anh Loan - Vice Chairman of the Gratitude Club; Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province; Nguyen Van Chien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district.

On this occasion, the Association presented 60 million VND donated by the Club of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs - Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs to Mr. Nguyen Van Cam (born in 1935), a relative of martyr Nguyen Van Truat in Tien Quanh hamlet, Dong Van commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Martyr Nguyen Van Truat was born into a family with a revolutionary tradition of 7 siblings, he was the second child in the family. Growing up, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, he joined the resistance war against the US and sacrificed his life in 1966 in Central Laos.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cam is the eldest brother, worshiping martyr Nguyen Van Truat. His family's circumstances are among the most difficult in the commune.

This is the 541st house of gratitude that the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province called for and mobilized organizations and units to support. This meaningful activity demonstrates the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", caring for and improving the material and spiritual life of poor households and families of martyrs with solid houses, reducing difficulties and stabilizing life.
On this occasion, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education also awarded 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to children of families with meritorious services who have overcome difficulties and studied well in the district./.
