Awarding 64 prizes for the contest to learn about traffic safety laws via the internet

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the contest "Learning about traffic safety laws and providing and using information on the internet" online on the Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2017.

Implementing Plan No. 513 dated August 29, 2017 of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing the contest "Learning about Traffic Safety Law and providing and using information on the Internet" online on Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2017, Decision No. 4408 dated September 26, 2017 of the Provincial People's Committee on Promulgating the Contest Rules, on November 6, the contest ended after 4 weeks of implementation.

According to the Organizing Committee, there were a total of 425,140 entries, an average of 69% of the participating units out of a total of 217 units that the Organizing Committee monitored. The number of participants in the competition continuously increased through the weeks. The day with the highest number of participants was 36,061 entries.

Some active units with a large number of contestants include: Provincial cadres, civil servants and public employees with units: Provincial Police, Provincial State Bank, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Health;

The block of district-level cadres, civil servants and public employees includes the following units: Thai Hoa Town, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Hung Nguyen;

The student block has the following schools: Vinh University, Nghe An University of Economics, Vinh University of Medicine;

The high school student block includes the following schools: Quy Hop I High School, Quy Hop 3 High School (Quy Hop district); Nguyen Canh Chan, Thanh Chuong 3, Dang Thuc Hua (Thanh Chuong district); Nguyen Truong To, Huynh Thuc Khang (Vinh city); Co Do High School (Nghia Dan district).

At the end of the competition, there were 64 awards with 51 contestants winning individual awards, 4 groups winning 4 "Weekly Awards", 5 groups winning "Collective Awards" for units with the most participants and winning the most awards.

Speaking at the closing and awarding ceremony, the representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized that, promoting the results of the competitions held in previous years, in 2017 the competition continued to receive the attention and direction of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of relevant departments and branches; the enthusiastic participation of agencies, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province; the strong propaganda of the Provincial Information Portal, the competition achieved its goals and requirements.

Through the contest, it has contributed to raising people's awareness of traffic safety laws, traffic participation awareness, especially in the current situation of traffic safety law violations and traffic accidents on the rise. Thereby contributing to building a culture and orientation for handling issues on social networks, minimizing negative impacts in providing and using information on social networks.

According to the plan in 2018, the contest will be expanded to include candidates who are junior high school students.
