Awarding of Provincial Historical Relic Certificate to Dao Ngan Communal House
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee coordinated with Cat Van Commune People's Committee to organize the reception of the Provincial Historical Relic Certificate of Dao Ngan Communal House.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; representatives of the provincial relic management board; leaders of Thanh Chuong district and many people in the area.

Dao Ngan Communal House is located in Hamlet 7, Cat Van Commune, built about 500 years ago, is a wooden architectural work.
The temple worships Thanh Hoang Nguyen The Binh, a son of Cat Ngan commune and now Cat Van commune, who was intelligent, studious, and famous for his integrity and uprightness.
During his lifetime, the great mandarin Nguyen Binh always cared about the people's lives, taught them how to raise livestock, grow crops, and gave land to the people to cultivate. Therefore, the people set up an altar for him with the title "Ngoc Son Thanh Cat Cuong Nghi Chi Than".
During the two wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Dao Ngan communal house was the place where many historical events of the locality took place; it was the place where the Soviet Government was established in 1930 - 1931. In particular, this was the place where the 2nd Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee took place, with the attendance of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and the late General Nguyen Chi Thanh.
