(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 23, Brigade 146 - Region 4 of the Navy, in coordination with the People's Committee of Hung Lam commune (Hung Nguyen district), held a ceremony to present the "Recognition of Service to the Fatherland" certificate to martyr Le Van Sang..
Comrade Le Van Sang was born on November 23, 1979, in Hung Lam commune, a place with a strong revolutionary tradition and a rich sense of compassion. Answering the sacred call of the Fatherland, in February 1998, he enlisted in Battalion 862, Brigade 146, Region 4 of the Navy.

After completing his new recruit training, in June 1998, he was transferred to the 5th Communications Company - Staff Department - 146th Brigade.
From September 1998 to March 2000, he was sent to attend a basic training course at Battalion 4 - Vinhempich Technical College under the General Department of Engineering. After graduation, he worked at the Technical Department, Brigade 957, Region 4 of the Navy, as an artillery repair technician.
From December 2003 to May 2011, he was assigned to work at the Technical Department - Region 4 of the Navy as a artillery repair technician and was promoted from Warrant Officer to Second Lieutenant, rank 2/10, and then to First Lieutenant, rank 4/10.
In response to the task of protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands, in January 2012, Comrade Sang was transferred to work on Song Tu Tay Island in the Truong Sa archipelago.
As a technical staff member, he has consistently strived to improve himself, cultivate his moral character, be exemplary, enthusiastic, and always successfully complete the tasks assigned to him.

During his time in service, he fell seriously ill and received treatment, but due to the severity of his illness, he passed away on October 19, 2013, at his home.
In recognition of the contributions of Comrade Le Van Sang, on March 27, 2015, the Prime Minister signed Decision 397 on recognizing and awarding the "Homeland's Recognition" certificate to martyr Le Van Sang.
