On the afternoon of August 27, at Vinh University, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with Vinh University and related units to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Nghe An Hackathon 2022. Attending the program was Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology.

The Hackathon competition is one of the outstanding activities organized annually by the Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An province and accompanying units.

This is a programming competition for young people who are passionate about information technology and love programming, and want to comprehensively develop skills in developing this application in a practical environment.

The contest attracts many contestants who are young people studying at universities, colleges, institutes, training centers and individuals working at companies and businesses in the field of information technology across the country.

Through the competition, the Organizing Committee hopes that the contestants will be strengthened in their knowledge, skills and support to continue to improve their products and enhance their passion for developing application products in particular and the information technology industry in general. At the same time, find potential solutions to help businesses solve their needs to accelerate the digital transformation process and optimize production. This is also an attractive playground to connect businesses and talented young individuals to participate in larger playgrounds such as the Nghe An province's Innovation and Startup Competition in the near future.

This is the third year that the Nghe An Hackathon has been held. This year’s theme is “Application of information technology in life”. Not only limited to Nghe An province, the scale of the competition has been expanded to young people aged 16-25 nationwide.

The challenge of the competition is that contestants must develop a technology product in a short time, competing in speed, creativity and perfection to solve the problem set by the competition with the companionship of Mentors. The competition aims to provide a technological playground for students to freely experiment with practical problems and ideas.

The competition took place from July 10 to August 27, 2022 with dozens of teams from inside and outside the province competing. Of which, the 10 best teams made it to the Final round.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes and 3 Third Prizes to the competing teams. In which, the First Prize belonged to Team 16. The two Second Prizes belonged to two competing teams: Rades and Avengers Endgame. The three teams that won Third Prizes included: NineA, ThamandDuong and Blue Dragon. The First Prize of the competition is a prize worth 15 million VND, the two Second Prizes are worth 10 million VND....
