(Baonghean.vn) -After two days of exciting competition, on the afternoon of June 12th, the Nghe An Military Command held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the teams and athletes who achieved high results at the 2013 National Defense and Militia Sports Festival.

This year's National Defense and Militia Sports Festival acknowledges the efforts of the Military Command and militia forces of the localities in physical training and sports activities over the past period. The festival attracted the largest number of athletes and coaches ever. In addition, the fact that female athletes and militia members accounted for nearly 30% is also encouraging.

Based on the results of the Sports Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the overall team flag to 1 team that won first place, 2 teams that won second place, and 2 teams that won third place from the 14 lowland and midland districts. The overall team flag was also awarded to 3 teams that won first, second, and third place from the 6 mountainous districts. Team flags were also awarded to the teams that won first, second, and third place in the combined military skills, AK rifle shooting, and combat martial arts events.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 athletes who achieved outstanding results in the Games.
