Awarded over 5.5 billion VND in insurance compensation for summer-autumn rice crop 2012

(Baonghean)On the morning of December 3, at Long Thanh commune (Yen Thanh), Nghe An Agricultural Insurance Steering Committee organized a ceremony to award insurance compensation for the 2012 summer-autumn rice crop.



People receive rice crop insurance money

For the three districts that piloted rice crop insurance, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, and Quynh Luu, the 2012 summer-autumn crop saw reduced productivity due to flooding. Bao Viet Nghe An Company coordinated with steering committees at all levels to conduct surveys, assess actual damage, and complete compensation settlement files according to the level of loss.

Specifically, the above 3 districts were compensated 5,535 million VND; of which Yen Thanh received the most 4,043 million VND (Long Thanh commune alone paid 2,117 million VND), Quynh Luu was 1,144 million VND, Dien Chau was 347 million VND.
