Over 5.5 billion VND was paid out in insurance compensation for the 2012 summer-autumn rice crop.
(Baonghean)On the morning of December 3rd, in Long Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district), the Nghe An Agricultural Insurance Steering Committee organized the handover of insurance compensation for the 2012 summer-autumn rice crop.

In the three districts piloting rice crop insurance – Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, and Quynh Luu – the 2012 summer-autumn crop saw reduced yields due to flooding. Bao Viet Nghe An Insurance Company, in coordination with steering committees at all levels, conducted surveys and assessments of the actual damage, completing the necessary documentation for compensation settlements based on the extent of the losses.
Specifically, the three districts received 5,535 million VND in compensation; with Yen Thanh receiving the most at 4,043 million VND (Long Thanh commune alone paid 2,117 million VND), followed by Quynh Luu at 1,144 million VND, and Dien Chau at 347 million VND.
