Presenting DNA identification results of 99 martyrs
On the morning of July 26, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs announced and presented the results of DNA testing to identify the remains of 99 martyrs buried at the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Martyrs Cemetery, Anh Son District, Nghe An.

This is the fourth time the results have been announced and presented. The previous three times a total of 143 martyrs' remains were presented to their relatives.
Previously, the National Liaison Committee for Martyrs' Relatives at Front 31, Plain of Jars - Xieng Khouang (Laos) coordinated with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Military Forensic Institute, the Institute of Biochemical Engineering and professional documents to collect samples of martyrs' remains, and biological samples of martyrs' relatives for DNA analysis, thereby determining the identities of the martyrs found.
At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Doan Mau Diep - Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs - said this is one of the most meaningful and vivid activities in the work of gratitude to the army's rear after the war.
Mr. Diep said that there are still thousands of martyrs left behind whose identities have not been determined, and the ministry will coordinate with other agencies to continue to do its best to bring them back to their motherland and their families.
