(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 22nd, the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with Quynh Luu district, held a ceremony to present a house of gratitude to a victim of Agent Orange/dioxin.

After fighting on the Binh-Tri-Thien battlefield, upon returning to his hometown, Mr. To Duy Ky, born in 1947 in Minh Son village, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, was exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin. For many years, his family has lived in a small, dilapidated house, unable to afford repairs or renovations.

With the support of the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Red Cross Society, which provided 30 million VND, along with contributions from relatives, savings from the maternal side of the family, and labor from various organizations and neighbors, a small, three-room tiled-roof house, covering an area of ​​50 square meters, was started construction on June 12th.2With a total cost of 125 million VND, the house was completed and put into use after more than two months of construction. This is a great gift for Mr. Ky's family, helping them overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

At the handover ceremony for the charitable house, the District Red Cross Society, various departments, organizations, and local authorities also presented small but meaningful gifts to the family.
