Presenting gifts to former Youth Volunteers who participated in the resistance against the French.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 9th, Tien Phong Newspaper and Euro Window Company, in coordination with the Provincial Youth Union and the Association of Former Youth Volunteers, organized a meeting and gift-giving program for former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French.
Attending the meeting were representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Youth Union, Mr. Mai At - Chairman of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Nghe An; Mr. Nguyen Canh Mao, General Director of Vinh Commercial Center Investment Joint Stock Company, Eurowindow European Plastic Window Group, along with a large number of former youth volunteers who fought against the French in the province.
During the resistance war against the French, responding to the call of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, "all for the front lines," many young people enthusiastically volunteered to join the resistance, becoming Youth Volunteers and directly participating in important tasks such as: opening roads, guiding and directing troops on their marches and battles; ensuring smooth traffic flow day and night... contributing to the liberation of the country. At the meeting, former Youth Volunteers recalled the glorious historical traditions of the Vietnam People's Army and the Victory at Bien Bien Phu.
