(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day on June 28th, the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund, in collaboration with Bao Viet Life Insurance and the Nghe An Provincial Children's Protection Fund, organized the program "Celebrating 10 years of cooperation between the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund and Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation" and the "Joining Hands in Love" gift-giving program in 2014.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Doan Mau Diep - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs;Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province;Dao Ngoc Thinh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund, Nguyen Thanh Quang - Deputy General Director of Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation… along with delegates, students and parents.

2014 marked the 10th anniversary of Bao Viet Life Insurance's partnership with the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund in promoting education, encouraging and supporting disadvantaged children to achieve a better life and uphold humanitarian values. Over the past 10 years, Bao Viet Life Insurance has provided nearly ten thousand educational scholarships to poor children, disabled children, victims of Agent Orange, children of war invalids and martyrs, children with special circumstances, and children with outstanding achievements in academics and sports. Tens of thousands of gifts have also been given to children on major national and children's holidays such as Children's Day (June 1st), Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lunar New Year, as well as supporting areas affected by natural disasters and floods.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Le Xuan Dai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed gratitude for the attention and guidance of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund, and the delegates regarding the work of protecting and caring for children; and thanked Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation for its concern and assistance to disadvantaged children in Nghe An province over the past 10 years. Besides the achievements in the work of protecting and caring for children in the province, there are still significant challenges. Nghe An remains a poor province, and the number of children with particularly difficult circumstances is still high. On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called upon and hoped that agencies, organizations, individuals, businesses, and units would continue to show compassion, share, and extend their helping hands to disabled and disadvantaged children in Nghe An province.

On this occasion, Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation awarded 260 scholarships, gifts, and bicycles to underprivileged children, children with disabilities, victims of Agent Orange, children of war invalids and martyrs, children with special circumstances, and children with outstanding achievements in academics and sports. The aim was to provide a meaningful summer for children and encourage exemplary students who have made great efforts in their studies during the past school year; to alleviate difficulties for disadvantaged children, helping them integrate into the community and strive for academic excellence like other students.
