Awarding the decision to appoint the new Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Pham Minh Chinh presented the Decision on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee (left) to take up the task of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On the morning of July 21, in Hanoi, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission, presented the Politburo's decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, to the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Pham Minh Chinh said that the Politburo has reached a high consensus on the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2018-2023 term.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, born in 1967, hometown Bac Ninh, has a Master's degree in Economic Management; advanced political theory.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that accepting the new assignment at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is a great honor and responsibility. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang also identified the responsibility in carrying out the important tasks and challenges of the trade union organization in the new period.

It is known that on July 28, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will hold an Executive Committee Conference and elect the position of President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Previously, on July 19, Mr. Bui Van Cuong, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, received the decision of the Politburo to appoint him as Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2018-2023 term.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang has held many positions: Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietnam Chemical Group; Deputy Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term; Deputy Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term; Secretary of Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
