Donating 150 wheelchairs to people with disabilities in Nghe An province.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 30th, a ceremony was held at the Nghe An Department of Foreign Affairs to present 150 wheelchairs to people with disabilities.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Chairman of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations; Lieutenant General Dang Xuan Loan, Director General of General Department 5; Don Tan Phong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations - Vice Head of the Committee on Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations; Ms. Truong Tuyet Nhung - Head of the "Bau Oi" Fund Campaign Committee; leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; the Provincial Children's Protection Fund; and representatives of leaders and people with disabilities from 8 units that received wheelchairs.

This donation of 150 wheelchairs is a testament to the care and support of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the People's Aid Coordination Committee (PACCOM) of the GIBTK organization in the United States, and the "Bau Oi" Fund Campaign Committee. These wheelchairs were given to 150 disabled people in Nghe An province. This is a practical and meaningful humanitarian act, providing disabled people with means of transportation, facilitating their daily lives, and alleviating difficulties in their lives.

Speaking at the wheelchair handover ceremony for people with disabilities, Comrade Le Xuan Dai, on behalf of the Nghe An provincial government and the families of people with disabilities, expressed gratitude for the care and assistance from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the People's Aid Coordination Board, the GIBTK organization of the United States, and the "Bau Oi" Fund Campaign Committee for their affection and support for people with disabilities in Nghe An.

This is a heartfelt gift from benefactors to people with disabilities in Nghe An province. Therefore, Comrade Le Xuan Dai suggested that the 8 units receiving wheelchairs in this batch, including Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Hung Nguyen, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, and Do Luong districts, the Provincial Red Cross Society, and the Vinh Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center, should deliver them directly to people with disabilities, in order to encourage and share the difficulties and disadvantages they face.
