Donating 250 bicycles to poor but studious students in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - 250 bicycles and 5 life insurance contracts were given to poor but studious students in the province, at the program "Journey of Life" held on April 12.
"Life Journey" is a series of events launched by AIA Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Children's Fund, local authorities and Children's Funds of provinces and cities since 2014.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dao Thi Hong Lan - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Le Tuyet Mai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund and Colonel Tran Quoc Trung - Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches. |
With the aim of supporting and empowering disadvantaged children to go to school, over the past 3 years, 3,300 poor children from more than 50 provinces and cities have received bicycles from the program.
This is the 4th consecutive year that "Life Journey" has come to disadvantaged children in Nghe An province.
On this occasion, the program presented 250 bicycles and 5 free life insurance contracts (each contract worth 20 million VND) to poor but studious students; with a total gift value of 550 million VND.

In 2017, “Journey of Life” will give away 1,500 bicycles and 60 free insurance contracts to poor children across the country, helping them continue their dream of going to school.
