Donated 455 warm uniforms to students in mountainous areas

(Baonghean.vn) – 455 warm uniform jackets were delivered by Nghe An Information Technology Association to Tien Phong 4 Primary School and Que Son Secondary School (Que Phong).

On the morning of November 27, 20 members of the Nghe An Province Information Technology Association traveled nearly 200 km to present 455 warm uniforms to students of Tien Phong 4 Primary School in Tien Phong Commune and Que Son Secondary School in Que Son Commune (Que Phong) to help students here have warm clothes to go to school, to overcome the harsh winter in the highlands of Nghe An.

Que Son Secondary School of Que Son Commune (Que Phong) has 152 students of Kinh, Thai, and Kho Mu ethnic groups. Of these, 61 are from poor households, 34 are from near-poor households, 23 are orphans, 91 are ethnic minority students, and 151/152 are children of farmers.

Tien Phong 4 Primary School of Tien Phong Commune (Que Phong) is one of the most disadvantaged schools in Tien Phong Commune. The school has 6 campuses with a total of 303 students, 100% of whom are Thai ethnic. The campuses are scattered far apart, and transportation is difficult, especially during the rainy season. The number of poor students accounts for 2/3 of the total number of students in the school, of which the number of students with special circumstances accounts for a high proportion (poor households are 190/303 students, near-poor households are 88 students).

"Warm clothes for children" is one of the volunteer programs of Nghe An Information Technology Association (with more than 300 members who are businesses, business owners in the Information Technology, CCTV - surveillance cameras, security systems in Nghe An). After a careful survey, the volunteer group decided to give the practical gift above and it was enthusiastically received by schools and students.
