Donated over 43,000 USD to support heart surgery project for poor children
(Baonghean.vn) - This meaningful activity has been carried out by the Namyangju Gaun Rotary Club - Korea since 2013 and brings hope to hundreds of unfortunate children with serious illnesses.
On the morning of March 21, at the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, the Provincial Children's Fund held a sponsorship reception ceremony from the Namyangju Gaun Rotary Club - Korea.

Since 2013, Rotary International D.3600 in general and Namyangyu Gaun Rotary Club in particular have sponsored billions of VND for heart surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery and given gifts to disadvantaged children in Nghe An province.
Through this meaningful activity, hundreds of unfortunate children have the opportunity to have surgery, regain healthy hearts and smiles.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs thanked the Namyangyu Gaun Rotary Club for its help and support to disadvantaged children in difficult circumstances in the province.
Currently, Nghe An still has more than 15,000 children in especially difficult circumstances, including more than 10,000 disabled children and more than 115,000 children at risk of falling into especially difficult circumstances. Therefore, he also hopes that in the coming time, he will continue to receive the attention of organizations, units, communities and society so that there will be more and more programs and projects to support poor and disabled children.

On this occasion, the Namyangyu Gaun Rotary Club presented the Children's Support Fund with more than 43,000 USD to carry out a heart surgery project for children.
Representatives of the units also presented gifts to 10 children who had successful heart surgery in 2017-2018 and 60 children at SOS Children's Village, Kim Lam Primary School (Thanh Chuong district) with a total amount of 3,000 USD.

In recognition of the efforts to contribute to poor children, the Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Namyangyu Gaun Rotary Club.
