Donating radio equipment and scholarships to poor students in Yen Thanh

(Baonghean.vn) - Morning of August 13,Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky,The General Director of Voice of Vietnam presented radio equipment and scholarships to poor but excellent students of Yen Thanh district.

Mr. Nguyen The Ky - General Director of Voice of Vietnam and leaders of Yen Thanh district presented gifts to poor students of Yen Thanh district.

The recipients of the "Accompanying students to school" scholarship this time are 120 students in the area studying at primary, secondary and high schools with difficult circumstances who have strived to excel in their studies. Each gift is worth over 800,000 VND.

Voice of Vietnam Radio presented radio equipment to Yen Thanh Radio and Television Station.

The delegation then visited and inaugurated the handover of radio production and broadcasting equipment to Yen Thanh Radio and Television Station, including: a set of microphones, 2 computers and a 500W transmitter, worth over 800 million VND, to support the staff, reporters and technicians of the district station in improving the quality of radio programs and helping local people receive more standard radio waves.

The delegation also went to Lien Thanh commune to present 15 gifts to families of war invalids and families of war invalids facing difficult circumstances, sharing and encouraging the families to improve their lives, joining hands with the Party Committee and people to build Lien Thanh homeland to become more and more prosperous.

On this occasion, Voice of Vietnam Radio, Voice of Vietnam Newspaper and sponsoring companies and units also presented each Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune with 1 FM machine and 30 FM machines for the locality. At the same time, 15 wireless speaker clusters and computer equipment were handed over to the local radio station to better serve the broadcasting program.
