Donating wheelchairs to the disabled, supporting the poor in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 23, a number of organizations and units in Nghe An organized charity programs, giving wheelchairs, electric cars, seedlings, and seeds to poor households and people with disabilities.
*At Nam Dan, Vietnam Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans on behalf of sponsors (Humanitarian Wheelchair Mission, Giving Back Childhood and Humanitarian Support for Vietnamese Children in the US) presented 30 wheelchairs, with a total value of 75 million VND to 30 disabled people in the district.

*Nam Dan District Military CommandDonated trees and seedlings to two poor households in the district.
The family of Ms. Bui Thi Hai, hamlet 10B, Nam Thanh commune, Nam Dan is a poor household, in especially difficult circumstances, her husband died in a traffic accident, 1 son drowned; she is currently raising 2 young children.
In order to help Ms. Hai's family develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably, officers and soldiers of the district military command donated and planted 100 Thai jackfruit trees and provided fertilizer, with a total value of 5.5 million VND.

The district military command also presented 3 breeding pigs and animal feed, worth 2.5 million VND to Mr. Dao Van Tong's family (Hamlet 6, Xuan Hoa) - a poor family with many children, including a mentally disabled son.

Nguyen Thi Ha, orphaned from a young age. Her mother worked hard to raise three children. Overcoming difficult circumstances, Ha has tried hard to study, and has been an excellent student every year; in the recent exam, Ha was an excellent student in the province in Chemistry.
In order to help Ha continue to go to school, the group "Charity Arms" Dien Lam gave her an electric bicycle worth 13 million VND and a savings book worth 3 million VND.
It is known that over the past 5 years, the Dien Lam "Charity Arms" volunteer group has grown to more than 200 members in the whole district and established groups in Germany, Laos, Japan, and Taiwan; has raised more than 2.5 billion VND, supporting 80 difficult circumstances across the province./.
