Donating wheelchairs and more than 300 books to the disabled and poor students in mountainous areas
(Baonghean.vn) – The Que Phong Volunteer Group has donated 2 wheelchairs, 300 squared notebooks, textbooks and warm clothes to the disabled, students and poor people in Quang Phong commune and Kim Son town (Que Phong).

On August 29, the Que Phong People volunteer group went to Quang Phong 1 Primary School (Quang Phong Commune) to present more than 300 new squared notebooks and textbooks, 50 pens and candies to 20 students with special difficulties at the school. This activity is within the framework of the program "Helping children go to school" for the 2017-2018 school year.

Continuing the program, the young people presented a wheelchair to Mr. Vi Van Bang (born in 1991) in Tin Pu village, Quang Phong commune. Mr. Bang suffered a broken vertebrae and atrophied legs that could not be recovered due to a work accident in China in 2015. He currently has a 6-year-old son, and both father and son are forced to live with their parents and brother's family because his wife left.

Afternoon in coordination with the People's CommitteeKim Son town (Que Phong), the group hasproceed to give away 1 piecewheelchair for Mrs. Quang Thi Yen in block 3. Mrs. Yen was born in 1951, from Muong Piet village, Thong Thu border commune (Que Phong), she is a disabled elderly person and belongs to a poor household.

Ms. Yen's husband, Mr. Quang Van Vinh, was born in 1949 and is from Han village, Muong Noc commune (Que Phong). He enlisted in the army in February 1970 and fought in the Quang Tri battlefield. He was wounded there but due to lost documents, he was not entitled to the policy for wounded and sick soldiers. They have one son who has started his own family. They currently live in a dilapidated two-room house.
All of the above gifts were donated by the group from philanthropists across the country.
