(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 28, Nghe An Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for the Criminal Police Department for the unit's outstanding achievements in cracking down on property theft, illegal credit activities and human trafficking.

Accordingly, since the beginning of 2018, in Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh and Tan Ky districts, there have been consecutive thefts at gold shops and offices with reckless and daring methods, causing billions of dong in damage. Project 418V was established to combat these crimes.

Through the struggle and synchronous use of professional measures, the Task Force arrested 2 subjects who committed 4 thefts of property worth a total of nearly 2 billion VND in Nghi Loc and Yen Thanh districts: Nguyen Trung Thanh (born in 1978, residing in Hung Linh commune, Hung Nguyen district) and Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1990, residing in Quynh Lam commune, Quynh Luu district). Continuing the struggle, the authorities arrested Nguyen Van Nam (born in 1987, residing in Xuan Lai commune, Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province) for the theft of property worth a total of 730 million VND at Ngoc Khanh gold shop (block 3, Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district).

On December 23, 2018, the Criminal Police Department continued to successfully dismantle Project 128N, eliminated 01 group, arrested Nguyen Trung Tinh (born in 1981, residing in Nghi Duc commune, Vinh city) for loan sharking in civil transactions. Initially, it was proven that the amount of money Tinh lent to 50 people was more than 7 billion VND, illegally profiting more than 1 billion VND.

Continuing the feat, on November 23, 2018, the unit continued to successfully break up Project 128M, dismantled a human trafficking ring, and arrested Lang Thi Lien (born in 1983, residing in Ke Me village, Mau Duc commune, Con Cuong district). The subject had brought the victim Chuong Thi Minh (born in 2003, residing in Ke Me village, Mau Duc commune, Con Cuong district) to be sold as a wife to a Chinese man. On October 22, 2018, the Project Team coordinated with the Chinese Police to successfully rescue Minh back to Vietnam.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the Criminal Police Department and its units. The leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police also requested that the units continue to crack down more fiercely on all types of crimes, especially eliminating gangs and criminal groups operating in illegal credit and property theft.

Also on December 28, the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district organized an award ceremony for officers and soldiers of Thong Thu Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) for their outstanding achievements in participating in Project 011A, arresting a Laotian man transporting a large quantity of drugs into Nghe An.

Previously, at 1:15 p.m. on December 27, in the border belt area of ​​Muong Phu village, Thong Thu commune (Que Phong district), the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force under the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Border Guard Command) in coordination with the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Nghe An Border Guard) and Thong Thu Border Guard Station discovered and arrested Tho No Bi, born in 1982, residing in Pa Khom village, Vieng Phan village cluster, Sam To district, Hua Phan province (Laos) illegally transporting drugs.

Evidence seized at the scene was 50,000 synthetic drug pills, 6 kg of crystal meth, and 1 mobile phone.

With the above outstanding achievements, the leaders of Nghia Dan District People's Committee warmly commended and awarded 10 million VND to the Project Team.
