The case of Bi Vang being arrested for carrying 20,000 drug pills from Laos to Nghe An with a midday ambush
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of the hot noontime, the subject brought 20,000 drug pills from the other side of the border into Nghe An with the intention of smuggling them deep into the interior for consumption. However, the illegal action of the subject was discovered and arrested by the Nghe An Border Guard force, confiscating all the evidence.
On the afternoon of April 3, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee organized an award ceremony for Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard for their achievements in the fight against drugs.
Accordingly, implementing Project 377L, at 12:05 on March 22, 2019 at km 63, National Highway 46 in village 3, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Guard Station to detect and arrest a subject who was illegally transporting drugs from across the border to Vietnam for consumption.

The arrested subject is Bi Vang, 27 years old, from Phon Muong Noi village, Kham Cot district, Bolikhamxay province (Laos). Evidence collected at the scene was 100 blue packages containing 20,000 synthetic drug pills.
With the exceptionally outstanding achievement of successfully fighting Project 377L, ensuring absolute safety, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee commended and awarded 10 million VND to officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Post.
