Awarding Nghi Loc District Police for solving church property theft case
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 14, the Board of Directors of Nghe An Provincial Police held an award ceremony for Project 917T of Nghi Loc District Police for their achievements in fighting against subjects who committed a series of robberies at Catholic churches, causing nearly 200 million VND in damage.

Previously, on September 8, Nghi Loc District Police received a report from the Pastoral Council of Lang Anh Parish that the parish church had been broken into by thieves who stole an organ and a sound controller, worth about 80 million VND. After determining the nature of the incident, Nghi Loc District Police leaders established Project 917T.

One day after the incident at Lang Anh parish, the Task Force arrested Nguyen Van Dong (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 3, Nam Loc commune, Nam Dan and his accomplice Nguyen Duc Manh (born in 1980), residing at the same address. Through the struggle, the two subjects confessed to being the perpetrators of the theft at Lang Anh parish and also caused 3 thefts in Cua Lo town, Hung Nguyen of Nghe An, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh.
At the ceremony, Nghi Loc District Police organized the return of lost property to Lang Anh parish.
