Slip-on shoes
(Baonghean) - "Your 'underground acting' house has become quite famous lately, hasn't it? Just last week it was in the news because of the tiger attack incident at Trai Bo Eco-tourism Area, and this week there's a huge buzz about that rosewood house worth over 30 billion VND. Turns out it's all owned by the same person, huh? Amazing!"
- That's why there's a joke: Before, "Underground Performance" was famous for Tran Huu Thung's song "Visiting the Rice Fields," now it's because of the song "Visiting... God." Or maybe it's because the "tycoon with the pipe" was so fond of the song "Visiting the Rice Fields" that he memorized the advice: "Remember this so that next season/ Your family can do even better," right?
- Unfortunately, before it was "the rice stalks pulling at my sandals," but now it's "the tiger pulling at my hand, causing me to lose my grip"! If that's the case, then "visiting God" is much better than "visiting the rice"!
- When I visited the eco-tourism area and saw that solid rosewood house, I almost fell over in disbelief, sir. I couldn't believe my eyes. I heard that eco-tourism area has as many as 30 tigers, 2 rhinos, hippos, lions, elephants, bulls… you name it! Tens of billions of dong have definitely been invested there! Because I heard that the money for animal feed alone, plus labor costs, amounts to 400-500 million dong per day! It's truly a case of "one day at the… camp is like a day in paradise," isn't it?
- Speaking of "slip-ups," that reminds me of the Hungarian female reporter who deliberately tripped a Syrian refugee, causing him to fall, right? She was immediately fired by the television station; she deserved it!
- That's nothing compared to what happened recently in Song Cong (Thai Nguyen)! A much more interesting case was uncovered! A woman escaped from a mental hospital and suddenly started boasting, calling herself a "Bodhisattva," claiming to cure all diseases simply by... stepping on the backs of her patients. And she managed to trick a lot of people! Why are there so many naive people in the world?
- That's literally "trampling over each other to survive," isn't it? That river should really be called the "Cong... Coc River"!
- The problem is that the "Punching Girl"'s place only offers... punching and kicking for the pleasure of it, they don't sell medicine or collect money, so it's quite awkward!
- Well, that's still infinitely better than those who trample on each other just for money! We don't know who's the real lunatic yet, do we?
- Some teams even like to trample on each other just for… prestige! The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Transport just complained recently, saying that many Hanoians buy cars just to “show off.” So, don't dream of the prospect of “spacious, windy roads through the five city gates” in the capital during rush hour; it'll just be a chaotic mess!
- And then there's this couple stepping on each other's toes, sir! Take the movie "Sacrifice of a Man's Life," for example. It was only out in theaters for a few days before the press slammed it down because of its terrible quality. So the director blamed everything on the person who paid for it and the lead actor, and then the actor turned around and accused the director in return. It seems nobody wants to "sacrifice their manhood," how pathetic!
- No one wants to "sacrifice their bachelor life," yet I hear the original handwritten version of the song "The Bride Is Coming" - sung at weddings all over the world - is being offered for sale at $3.6 million (equivalent to 82 billion VND)! And I also hear that a super-rich Arab family spent nearly 1.7 trillion VND on a cake studded with hundreds of diamonds to give to their beloved daughter on her birthday and engagement! Seriously! With such extravagant families, only a fool wouldn't "sacrifice their bachelor life," right?
- "Sacrifice" is a form of self-sacrifice! It sounds harsh, but the other day, I was absolutely furious about that guy who suddenly set fire to his house and committed suicide along with his three children, all because he was upset about his wife. "Sacrificing his life as a man" like that, how can anyone possibly go on living?
- I heard that before he left, he left a message: "I can't raise the children anymore, so I'm taking them to a better place. You go find a more comfortable life..." I heard their situation is quite dire, sir, probably due to poverty! It's tough! Life is truly a case of "some have too much, others can't even find enough," isn't it?
- That's why every time I open the internet and see those sensational headlines about "billions of dong," I get really annoyed! Where do all those billions of dong come from? Vietnamese journalists are really... good at math! They keep exaggerating like that, no wonder poor people feel increasingly out of touch and resentful. The only news that's even remotely believable is the one about the Vietnamese female student who just won a scholarship worth over 4 billion dong (Vietnamese dong) from some famous university in the US...
- If our child could be like that, it would be so much better, wouldn't it, husband? You and I wouldn't have to "sacrifice our retirement lives."
- Well, it's nothing like this kid; the other day he brought home a notice about all sorts of fees for the start of the school year. There were tons of unreasonable charges, and the newspapers have been complaining about it lately…
- Oh dear, it's the same old story every year, but nothing changes! Since it's called "autumn," we just have to put up with the hardship... and "spend" on it! Let's get through this period of hardship and wait for the day when "The rice is so good, brother! I'll win the competition!"
- If Mr. Tran Huu Thung were still alive, I might have to ask him to write a new article titled "Visiting the School"! But never mind, I don't need Mr. Thung, I'll just do it myself: "The cost of clinging to a father who's lost his sandals," hic...
