Buffalo gores veterinarian to death during vaccination

At around 11am on August 27, Mr. Bui Viet Hien (28 years old) went to the house of Mr. Vo Ta Cuong (29 years old, residing in Huong Long commune, Huong Khe, Ha Tinh) to vaccinate the buffalo. Mr. Hien entered the barn and injected the injection into the buffalo. Suddenly, the animal turned around and charged at Mr. Hien and Cuong.

"Mr. Hien suffered many serious injuries, including a stab wound to the left chest that caused his death on the way to the emergency room. Mr. Cuong suffered serious injuries to his back and is being treated at Huong Khe District General Hospital," said Mr. Tran Quoc Viet - Chairman of Huong Long Commune People's Committee.

According to the family, Mr. Cuong has been raising the buffalo for about 5 years now as a draft animal, serving in the forest. It is normally gentle and has never gored anyone.
