Over 24,000 slogans entered the contest "Doraemon with Traffic Safety"

According to information from the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), after nearly 2 months of launching (from May 6 to June 15), the 2016 "Doraemon with Traffic Safety" Slogan Writing Contest chaired by the Department, in coordination with units under the Ministry of Education and Training and Mainichi Newspaper Group (Japan), has attracted 24,257 slogan entries.

Of which, the group of subjects from 6 to 15 years old accounted for the majority with 20,132 slogans, the group of subjects over 16 years old had 4,125 slogans to compete. Many schools mobilized students to participate in the competition by drawing accompanying illustrations, bringing great promotional value.

According to the Jury, most of the slogans submitted for the contest are in line with the program's criteria. Many of the slogans are innovative, meeting many criteria in terms of language, content, and profound messages of ensuring traffic safety, rich in imagery, and easy to express on billboards and propaganda posters.

The jury unanimously selected 12 slogans in the 6-15 age group to award prizes, of which the slogan “Joy follows me to school is safety on every step” was the best slogan of the group. In the group over 16 years old, 10 excellent works were selected to award prizes. The best slogan of the group was “Go to school safely, learn a thousand good things”. The Contest Prize will be awarded on September 14.

The slogan writing contest is one of the activities of the “Doraemon with Traffic Safety” Program in Vietnam, using the image of the robot cat Doraemon, with the aim of promoting and educating Vietnamese children about traffic safety awareness and protecting children from traffic accidents. This is a traffic safety propaganda program that will be held annually, chaired by the Traffic Police Department, in coordination with relevant units of the Ministry of Education and Training, Mainichi Newspaper Group and Japanese enterprises./.
