Over 77 billion VND invested in the restoration and renovation of Kiet Bac Temple.

On June 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong province and the Management Board of Con Son-Kiep Bac historical site held a groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration and renovation of Kiep Bac Temple, with a total investment of over 77 billion VND.

The funding comes from the national cultural program, donations to the state budget, provincial budget support, and sponsorships from organizations and individuals. The project to restore and renovate Kiet Bac Temple is divided into two phases with 12 construction items, including the restoration and renovation of the front hall, the central hall, the rear hall, etc.

The investor is the Con Son-Kiep Bac Relic Management Board; the design consultant is Hoang Dao Architecture Co., Ltd.; and the construction contractor is Thanh Binh Relic Restoration Co., Ltd.

Kiet Bac Temple is located within the Con Son-Kiep Bac historical and scenic complex, which was classified as a National Monument by the State in 1962; it was classified as a Special National Monument in 2012, and during the Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival in 2013, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially recognized the Con Son Spring Festival and the Kiet Bac Autumn Festival as National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The Kiet Bac Temple restoration and renovation project will restore all the structures and worship systems that were destroyed during the war, complete the architectural landscape of the temple, and serve the organization of festivals, tourism, and the education of patriotic traditions and national pride.
