On March 4, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency announced: The unit has just arrested Dang Mai Ngoc (born in 1995), residing in Xuan Son hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district for theft of property. The seized evidence includes an Exciter motorbike and a dog-stealing fishing rod using electric shock.

Accordingly, on Sunday afternoon (March 3), Lieutenant Nguyen Trong Lam - an officer of the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug Crimes of Nghi Loc District Police left the unit to return to his hometown to visit relatives. When arriving at Hamlet 13, Nghi Truong Commune, Mr. Lam discovered that ahead of him, there were 2 subjects riding a blue Exciter motorbike without a license plate who had just stolen a dog from the side of the road.

Mr. Lam recounted: "The situation was urgent. If I called the unit to send forces to arrest me, it would be too late. Besides, the subjects were riding an Exciter and I was riding a Weve, so it would be difficult to follow. Even though I knew that dog thieves were often aggressive, I was still determined to capture them by myself."

Mr. Lam drove his motorbike to chase, approached and knocked down the two subjects. Before the two thieves could stand up, he jumped in and hugged the subject sitting behind the motorbike (who had just committed the act of stealing a dog).

Both subjects struggled and fought back fiercely against Mr. Lam. They hit Lieutenant Lam's arms hard in an attempt to escape. But Mr. Lam quickly used the handcuffs he was carrying to successfully restrain the subject. The other subject knew he was facing the police so he quickly ran away.

Upon receiving the news, the Criminal - Economic - Drug Crime Investigation Police Team sent forces to escort the arrested subject back to the unit and organize the capture of the remaining subject.
