If the diarrhea is not too severe, does not cause dehydration, and is not accompanied by other infections, some simple remedies based on traditional experience can be applied. For diarrhea, you can use:

- Mix equal amounts of dried tea leaves and roasted rice, then simmer with 3 slices of fresh ginger. Divide the mixture into several portions and drink throughout the day while it is still warm.

- For the sim flower buds (harvested before they bloom), use about half a cup to make a decoction for drinking.
- Take a handful of guava buds, chew them with a few grains of salt, and swallow the pulp.

- Boil mangosteen peel in water until the liquid is concentrated, then drink the decoction.

Use 40g of thinly sliced fresh galangal root and 80g of guava tree bark (roasted), then decoct both ingredients together. Drink several times a day instead of tea for best results.

Diarrhea due to low heat: People with this condition experience abdominal pain and immediate diarrhea. The stool is yellow, foul-smelling, and there is infrequent urination with reddish urine. They are very thirsty and have a yellow coating on their tongue. This condition is common in summer and autumn. Take 20g of plantain leaves and flowers, and 40g of young pineapple shoots (the white part of the young leaves of a fruit-bearing pineapple plant). Wash everything thoroughly, crush them into a paste, and add a little salt. Pour one bowl of boiling water over the mixture, let it steep for about half an hour, then strain and drink the liquid.
