Launching 2 new programs to support the poor

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Decision No. 28/2015/QD-TTg dated July 21, 2015 of the Prime Minister on lending to households that have just escaped poverty and lending to build houses to prevent storms and floods according to Decision No. 48/2014/QD-TTg, the Bank for Social Policies, Nghe An Branch, has deployed support for beneficiaries.

Lending to households that have just escaped poverty and building houses to prevent floods and storms are two new credit programs implemented by the Bank for Social Policies, Nghe An Branch. To effectively implement the credit program, the Bank for Social Policies, Nghe An Branch, coordinates with relevant levels and sectors to review and make a list of loan recipients and entrusted organizations (Association of War Veterans, Women's Union, Farmers' Association, Youth Union) to promptly disburse capital to the people.

Thanks to the support of capital from the Bank for Social Policies, people of Nam Linh - Nam Dan commune have developed a fruit tree growing model.

Up to now, the Bank for Social Policies, Nghe An Branch, has disbursed a loan program for newly escaped-poverty households with the amount of 29 billion VND, thanks to which many households have capital to invest in livestock development and service provision. The loan program for building houses to prevent and avoid storms and floods has had 154 households borrow more than 2.3 billion VND to invest in building and renovating houses.
