Deploying clean water supply and environmental sanitation projects
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 26, in Dien Yen commune - Dien Chau, the Central Region Water Supply and Sanitation Project (ADB loan) held a ceremony to announce the bidding package for the Construction of clean water supply and environmental sanitation works.
Attending were representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Nghe An Province Sanitation Water Supply Project Management Board and local authorities, along with representatives of households benefiting from the project.

This is the first pilot sub-project using loan capital from the Asian Development Bank - ADB in the clean water sector in Nghe An. The Dien Yen clean water supply and environmental sanitation project has a total investment capital of 52.8 billion VND, of which the water plant construction package is more than 37 billion VND. According to the design, the clean water plant has a capacity of 1,700 m3/day and modern water treatment technology that meets the standards of the Ministry of Health. The construction package will be implemented for more than 15 months and after completion, it will provide clean water to more than 3,700 households in the commune.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, the representative of the Nghe An Province Sanitation Water Supply Project Management Board acknowledged the efforts of local authorities and sectors in the investment preparation process and in the coming time, the local government and beneficiaries need to strengthen propaganda work; community activities; site clearance; participate in capital contribution; Project supervision; Pipeline network development... and especially have solutions to manage and promote the project well, ensuring sustainability.
The representative of the joint venture contractor, Dai Viet Joint Stock Company, also committed to ensuring progress and quality for handover to local exploitation.
