Project implementation to promote children's rights enforcement in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 29, the Children's Support Fund launched a project to promote the implementation of children's rights. Attending the event were representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and 5 districts benefiting from the project.

Nghe An has 5 districts: Anh Son, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc and Do Luong benefiting from the project: Promoting the implementation of children's rights, ensuring children have access to support resources, health care services and education for children with autism spectrum disorder.

This is the first time Nghe An province has been sponsored by the JIFF Fund - EU JULE Project to help autistic children be protected by law with realistic, appropriate and fair policies; Children have access to and benefit from health services, education and social security policies of the State.

According to statistics, Nghe An currently has about 8,700 autistic children. Meanwhile, there are only about 20 specialized centers and only provide support for about 1,600 children with autism. The project implemented in 5 districts of Nghe An province will focus on 4 contents: Raising awareness in the community about autism spectrum disorder in children and the rights of children with autism spectrum disorder; legal support for children and families of autistic children; building a network of core staff to support autistic children and their families as well as connecting. The project will be implemented for 11 months and will end in May 2024.
