Strongly deploy IT applications in the field of Transport
(Baonghean.vn)-In recent times, Nghe An Department of Transport has applied many scientific and technical advances, strongly applied information technology in management and execution of public duties. Especially the use of software: Mobiwork traffic infrastructure management.
On August 5, in Cua Lo town, Nghe An Department of Transport coordinated with EK Geographic Information Technology Joint Stock Company to organize a workshop on the application of digital and mobile map technology in road maintenance management and supervision.
Attending the workshop were comrade Le Dinh Tho - Deputy Minister of Transport; Nguyen Hong Ky - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Department of Transport; leaders of Departments of Transport nationwide.

Software: Mobiwork traffic infrastructure management, has a powerful support feature in collecting information on traffic infrastructure assets, supporting road patrols and inspections using smartphones or tablets, can assign tasks, control progress and quality of road maintenance work; the software supports information collection, serves infrastructure management, grasps unexpected situations occurring on the route so that they can be handled promptly to ensure traffic safety.

The Department of Transport has been using Mobiwork software since 2015. After a period of use, the entire system of kilometer posts, signs, bridges, and culverts on the entire national and provincial highways has been fully collected by the units. Along with that, the digital traffic map system of Nghe An is also fully and accurately updated according to the current management and route management status on the routes, automatically located through the GPS location of the management unit assigned by the Department's leaders to deploy repairs. Traffic inspectors promptly handle activities of overloaded, oversized vehicles and encroachment on traffic safety corridors in the shortest time.

At the workshop, delegates discussed the advantages and disadvantages of applying Mobiwork software in road maintenance management and supervision. Based on that, in the coming time, Nghe An Department of Transport will continue to research, upgrade and expand the application of this software with a higher version.

The Deputy Minister of Transport emphasized that through this workshop, transport units nationwide will exchange, learn and replicate good models and new ways of applying IT. He requested that in the coming time, transport units nationwide will strongly deploy IT applications to improve state management in the transport sector.
