Selectively Deploying the New School Model
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 25, under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Nguyen Vinh Hien, the Ministry of Education and Training held an online conference to summarize the 2015-2016 school year and deploy tasks for primary education, secondary education, and continuing education in the 2016-2017 school year.

The 2015-2016 school year summary conference took place at a time when the entire education sector is continuing to implement fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training in the spirit of Resolution No. 29/NQ-TW.
In particular, at the primary level, attention is being paid to innovation in student assessment, implementation of the new school program, and implementation of Vietnamese 1 Educational Technology. At the secondary level, in addition to innovation in teaching methods, testing and assessment forms, the Ministry of Education and Training has also piloted the implementation of a new school model at the secondary level, and piloted the implementation of the English program.
In particular, the Ministry has boldly innovated the Graduation Exam and the University and College Entrance Exam into one National High School Exam with many advantages to reduce exam pressure and create favorable conditions for candidates.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga highly appreciated the efforts of the entire education sector in the past time. Regarding the tasks for the next school year, the Deputy Minister said that the current pilot models are suitable for the goal of educational innovation. However, they should not be deployed en masse but should be selective and suitable to each locality's conditions.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on developing the team of teachers and educational managers in terms of capacity to develop and implement educational plans in the direction of developing students' capacity; innovating professional activities; paying attention to students in disadvantaged and remote areas, minimizing the rate of students dropping out of school.
