Photo exhibition "Beautiful Laos"

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the traditional Lao New Year Bunpimay 2014, aiming to celebrate the anniversary and 52 years of establishing diplomatic relations, 37 years of signing the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty, on the morning of April 12, at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center, Vinh City, the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An Province, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An Province, the Vietnam Photography Association in Nghe An, and the Provincial Cultural Center jointly organized the photo exhibition "Beautiful Laos" by journalist and photographer Tran Duy Ngoan.

Attending the exhibition were journalist and photographer Vu Quoc Khanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Dr. - journalist Tran Ba ​​Dung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Professional Committee, Director of the Cultural Center of the Vietnam Journalists Association. On the provincial side, there were members of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Thai Van Hang, Le Xuan Dai, Dinh Thi Le Thanh; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments, branches, unions, armed forces and districts and cities in the province, the Nghe An Union of Friendship Associations, leaders of press agencies, along with a large number of journalists, photographers inside and outside the province and people of Vinh City.

Journalist and artist Tran Duy Ngoan, with his passion for his profession and the feelings of a person who loves Laos very much, has left his mark through images recorded during many business trips to Laos over the past decades. With the sensitive soul of a photographer and the observational mindset of a journalist, he has discovered moments and unique perspectives, with subtle and profound feelings about the people and beautiful country of Laos.

The works displayed in the exhibition “Beautiful Laos” this time are just a small part of the creations, the heart of a Vietnamese journalist and photographer for the brotherly country of Laos, introducing to the Vietnamese public the Land of a Million Elephants - Pagodas and Towers - the land of Champa flowers that captivates people's hearts, about the people who are deeply affectionate, closely attached, and love peace...

With the sensitive soul of a photographer and the observational mindset of a journalist, he has discovered moments, unique perspectives, with subtle, profound feelings about the people and beautiful country of Laos, the land of pagodas and festivals. In particular, in 2011 and 2012, he and his colleagues from Vietnam Television and Nghe An Radio and Television Station traveled across Laos to make the 50-episode film "Laos Chronicle", an art work to celebrate "Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2012". The 140 photos displayed at the exhibition are just a small part of the creations, the heart of a Vietnamese Journalist-Photographer for Laos.

The exhibition has added another perspective, once again affirming the friendship, loyalty and steadfastness between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos. This is a large-scale photo exhibition in terms of content, high artistic quality in both news and art, highly appreciated by the public. The exhibition lasts until April 20, 2014.
